ParadigmaST is pleased to be a supporting partner of the Sport Innovation Challenge (SIC) AI & Robotics 2026, organized by ThinkSport, a sports innovation organization. The Challenge finals took place on May 5 at THE SPOT 2026, the annual flagship conference of ThinkSport, at the iconic Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
What Is THE SPOT 2026?
THE SPOT is ThinkSport’s signature two-day innovation summit that connects leaders from the international federations, startups, academics, athletes, and investors to discuss the technologies and ideas that will define the future of sport. The 2026 edition was held on 4-5 May 2026 in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital. It marked the end of all of ThinkSport’s innovation activities throughout the year.
THE SPOT 2026 delved into pressing issues where technology and sport converge, including AI to improve performance, digital athlete identities, FemTech, climate adaptation in sport, and next-generation startup innovation. It featured leaders from international federations and large sports organizations, as well as innovative startups presenting live solutions to the world’s top sports decision makers.

The Sport Innovation Challenge AI & Robotics 2026
The SIC AI & Robotics 2026 is an international startup competition that invited innovators from all over the world, from proof-of-concept (PoC) to minimum viable product (MVP) stage, to present disruptive AI and robotics technologies that could transform the global sports industry. The applications ranged from athlete performance and health to fan engagement, sports operations, and inclusive access to sports.
ThinkSport is the Global Exclusive Lead Partner of the challenge, along with AquaBloom International Sports Technology Group (ABSG), a leading SportsTech platform in Asia. The startups from around the world went through a multi-stage process: international applications, semi-finals held in a hybrid format in both Lausanne (online session) and Shenzhen (onsite part), and a final pitch in front of IOC representatives, International Federations, and key industry stakeholders.
The finalists pitched their ideas for cash prizes of up to CHF 10,000, strategic partnerships, and long-term collaboration opportunities in the international sport ecosystem.
